Mazatlan Beaches

Relax in the beautiful beaches of Mazatlan, Mexico

Mazatlan is a major tourist destination and port city within the state of Sinaloa in Mexico off the Pacific Ocean. Mazatlan is a popular destination among travelers, many of whom travel there to experience a lot of the different Mazatlan beaches available at places such as; Mazatlan all inclusive resorts and Mazatlan hotels.

Mazatlan is home to very large tidal swings and some of the longest stretches of beach in all of Mexico. Playa Gaviotas and Playa Sabalo
Also called the Golden zone these Mazatlan beaches are actually some of the most crowded beaches in Mazatlan as they generally cater to tourists. It is here that you will find some of the best swimming available among the many Mazatlan beaches. This beach is lined with some Mazatlan resorts so it is here that one will also find a higher concentration of vendors on the beach.

Playa Olas Altas
This Mazatlan beach is located inside a cove and was a very highly visited beach in the early 1950s when Mazatlan was beginning to take shape as a popular Mexico resort destination. Located near the historic district within Mazatlan, Playa Olas Atlas drew some big names among its visitors. Guests such as John Wayne, would come this beach in Mazatlan to hang out. Today Playa Olas Atlas is a good beach to travel to if one is hoping to relax in the sun and play in the sand. Swimming here is not recommended because of dangerous currents that are present.

Playa Los Pinos
Playa Los Pinos is located on the northern part of the cover. It is here at Playa Los Pinos that one will find divers point. At Divers point you will have the opportunity to watch experienced cliff divers leap from what is known as Icebox Hill.
