Learn about Mexican Pride
The Mexican people, as you could probably say about every other people in the world and their nationalities, are proud to be Mexican; but it is a Pride that can be seen in the incomplete smiles of the old men and the young children, in the strength and hard work of its men and the grace and beauty of its women.
The Mexican Pride, is sometimes misleading and makes one think about gangs and “cholos” even more misleading by the ever increasing Mexican Pride clothing items that young people wear without knowing (most of the times), where that pride comes from; the real Mexican Pride is the one that Ricardo Lopez Mendez (a late poet that was born in Yucatan in 1903) exalts on one of his Mexican Pride Poems called Credo. On “Credo” it exemplifies the “Marvelous Mystery” of the Mexican nation on the first four words by saying “Mexico, creo en ti” (“Mexico, I believe in you), and every day, more and more Mexicans, years after Ricardo Lopez Mendez died, still believe in Mexico and will continue to do so.
For a Mexican, his Nation is his pride and joy and as well we should, Mexico is one of the only countries in the world where you can find al different ecosystems, from oceans to deserts, jungles and forests. Wonderful ruins and historical and natural landmarks that wow visitors and locals alike (like the ruins of Chichen-Itza in Yucatan or el Canon del Sumidero in the state of Chiapas).
