Easy Mexican Appetizer
Mexican appetizers can be the start of a beautiful dinner or meal shared by your family and friends. Most Mexican appetizers are super easy to put together, and require little or no prep work. Here, I will share an easy Mexican appetizer recipe with you. It’s a classic in American households everywhere: nachos.
All you need is:
- A big bag of tortilla chips
- heated up refried beans
- a bag of pre-shredded Mexican cheese
- 1 cup shredded cooked Chicken
- 1 cup salsa
- 2 chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 of an onion, chopped
- sour cream and guacamole to your liking
Spread the chips on a cookie sheet. Spread the hot refried beans over the chips – you might even need to add a little water to make sure they aren’t too chunky. Sprinkle the chicken over the beans, and then pour on the salsa, then add the cheese and onions. Bake for about 10 minutes in a 300 degree oven, or until the cheese is all melted. Top with the tomatoes, sour cream, and guacamole to your liking!
Another great Mexican appetizer that takes about 1 minute is taking a block of cream cheese and covering it with raspberry chipotle salsa, tamarindo salsa, or regular tomato salsa. Serve with chips or crackers.
