Black Bean Salsa Recipe
Black Bean And Corn Salsa
Black bean salsa can be a hit at your next party or get together. You can easily double this recipe for large crowds or block parties. Just serve with crisp tortilla chips and you’re good to go!
Here is a simple black bean salsa recipe for you to take and modify as you see fit:
- 1 can of drained black beans
- half a cup of diced onion
- half a cup of diced tomatoes
- half a cup of diced bell peppers
- salt and pepper
- olive oil
It really is just as simple as mixing all these ingredients in a large bowl! You can add garlic, chili powder or diced up serrano peppers (my personal favorite) or jalapenos for heat. Cilantro is a great fresh herb to add, too.
Black bean and corn salsa is a popular salsa to make, as well. All you need to do is add 1 cup of drained canned corn. You could use frozen, as well. Just make sure it’s cooked! What I like to do is roast the corn before I add it to the salsa. You can do this by draining the corn, then heating a skillet on super high heat until it smokes. Add the corn and let it blacken for a couple minutes without stirring, then move it around and cook a couple more minutes. Pour it in a bowl and add salt, garlic powder, and a pat of butter. Yum! Then you can add it to your salsa.
