The Summer months get are the hottest times of the year in Cancun. However, the proximity to the water still produces some of the best Mexican weather with highs that average 90 and lows that dip down to 78 degrees. In the fall, the weather is still very nice, the highs are in the 89 degree range with lows of approximately 75 degree range.
The Caribbean side of Mexico does get a rain season. In the summer months if it does rain, it is generally for a short period of time and it is a pretty light rainfall.
The popular tourist destinations of Acapulco, and Mazatlan, are just a few hot tourist spots located on the Pacific Ocean side of Mexico. The Mexican weather on this side of the country is a little more hot and humid. However, the warm weather in the winter months allow for a great vacation time at the beach, even in the winter.
The winter months have average temperatures that range from Highs in the 88 range to lows in the 70 degree range. The Spring, Summer, and Winter months share almost an identical range of temperatures. This definitely lends itself to many people on a vacation wanting to travel to Acapulco to enjoy the nice Mexican weather there year round.
Mazatlan is indeed cooler year round than Acapulco is. However, it still has some of the nicest weather in all of Mexico. The winter months have temperatures with a high of 80 and lows in the range of 56 to 60 degrees. The spring months see temperatures that climb to the mid 80s in the day and dip down to about 76 degrees. The summer months are generally the hottest months in Mazatlan. The temperatures range from 84-90 degrees as a whole for the entire day. Finally, in the fall the temperatures range from 85-90 degrees as a high and 75 degrees for the lows.
