Spring Break in Rocky Point Mexico
Spring break in Rocky Point Mexico is a great vacation option for both college students and families. The reason being there is so much to do here for people and tourists of all ages that you will definitely not feel bored when in Rocky Point.
The weather is usually great during spring break in Rocky Point as it is not only mild, but you also get a few weeks to enjoy the season change. There are so many things and places to visit during a spring break in Mexico like the Strip in El Mirador Beach.
This is found on the Matamoros Street along the beach where its busiest spot is Manny’s Beach Club. While breakfast and lunch are available here, the joint is most memorable for its nightlife. While families will love the joint during the day, at night, the place goes so wild that it may difficult for you to even get in!
The whole strip is closed for spring break in Rocky Point Mexico and is accessible only by pedestrians. Don’t park your car anywhere near the club; there are some empty lots nearby that double up as pay for parking lots.
Take a cab
You will find various taco and hot dog stands along the road. To ensure safety there is also security personnel redirecting traffic. As you can’t bring your rental car here, it’s better and safer to take a cab. Taxis in Rocky Point are rather cheap at only 2 dollars per person per ride.
13th Street or Calle 13 is also a favorite for spring breakers as it boasts of many restaurants including Austin’s Pizza, El Sombrero, Asadero Gus, various taco places, the Famous Sunset Cantina and various adult entertainment choices.
There is also the new and popular Camel Toe Cantina on the road towards Playa Bonita worth visiting. This is where you can rent ATVs and dune buggies for the day to explore Rocky Point.
The party spot of Sandy Beach
During your spring break in Mexico, a visit to the Malecon is really worth it. This is where you get to watch the sun go down. You can also buy fresh fish and seafood here, shop for souvenirs and enjoy the many restaurants like Blue Marlin, Mary’s Fish Market and bars like Boo bar and Shark Bite.
Sandy Beach has its share of restaurants you can visit during your spring break in Rocky Point Mexico. The only party spot here is Changos Bar that is found at the entrance to Sonoran Sea and Sonoran Spa.
Kayak the estuary
You can also camp on the beach for a fee at the Reef RV Park. If you don’t like the crowds but love Rocky Point beaches, then Playa Encanto is the place to go. You will find pristine beaches and soft and clean white sand here.
Although there are no hotels here, you can rent a house and kayak the estuary, build sand castles, collect beach shells, spot dolphins and whales, enjoy the sunset and just have a great family vacation, or a romantic spring break in Rocky Point.
