Rocky Point Bars & Clubs

You can enjoy a nightcap, or dance the night away in one of Rocky Point clubs. Many Rocky Point vacationers, especially the younger crowd want to know the hot spots. There are several night clubs in Rocky Point, but two stand out as being the most well-known. The Manny Beach Club, known as simply Manny’s is in the Malecon section of Rocky Point. It is a very popular night hangout that attracts all ages, 18 and up. Manny’s is famous for its fried ice cream. Sit and enjoy a drink in Manny’s while gazing at the breath-taking view of the Sea of Cortez.

Another popular Rocky Point Bar is JJ’s Cantina, better known as JJ’s. You will find JJ’s in the Cholla Bay area of Rocky Point. JJ’s likes to hold events, like fishing and volleyball tournaments. Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers have held their Rocky Point concerts at JJ’s.

As has been mentioned these are by no means the only Rocky Point bars. Visit Manny’s and you will see the street is besieged with clubs. A newcomer to the night scene is Club Elixir. This Rocky Point bar offers a comfortable lounge type ambiance. Club Elixir is a hopping place on Thursday and Saturday nights.

Chango’s is another great Rocky Point club to try and was voted the hottest spring break club of 2009. They offer live music, live videos, and have 5 big flat screen TVs to watch all the sports your heart desires.

The Boo Bar is Rocky Point’s version of Chili’s or TGI Fridays on a smaller level. The Boo Bar is a sports bar, and offers 3 huge plasma TVs to satisfy even the most die-hard sports fan. This Rocky Point club is a great place to start your night of clubbing.

No Rocky Point stay is complete without a visit to the Pink Cadillac. They have something for everyone, and they are the only 1950’s style diner on Rocky Point. No wonder vacationer’s sprint there for breakfast, lunch and dinner too. You can expect great tasting American food, all day and night. This Rocky Point Bar is also a yearly mainstay for the annual spring break bonanza. They even offer what they call the cool pool. So named because it is almost always in the shade, even in August! Of course, the cool pool offers a nice bar and pool menu as well.

You will have the most fun at The Thirsty Parrot, according to many a patron. The Thirsty Parrot is the only Caribbean themed restaurant on Rocky Point. They present the likes of Alonzo from Tucson, Brent Burns, Rob Mehl, and even the Stinson Brothers to provide all the music entertainment you will ever need. The Thirsty Parrot has many local dish favorites, and a variety of seafood to quench your hunger pains. Be sure and taste their amazing spicy lettuce wraps, and the toucan salad.

All in all, Rocky Point tenders an active night life that will satisfy everyone. There are so many clubs to choose from. Perhaps you need to visit them all
